i let my eyes sink in
watch my skin change
focus on your breathing
watch it condensate
the sheets keep you at bay
warmth crystallised
in how the time could fade
organs frozen wide
could it be close enough
suffering my touch
keep closer now my love
can you drown out my hush
too cold to see the way
simplified into lines
lover draw out my veins
i’m just your skin revised
want you to feel this
want you to feel this for the both of us
all the ways we’d try
to make it feel right
all the ways we’d lie
to keep us tight
nothing between us
want you to feel this
even in this time
you were never mine

I believe the last track was released as a single, and I remember listening to it while I had a terrible flu. It blew me away into a fever dream... in a good way? It was quite a somatic experience. I adore this album and recall the show at Knockdown Center a few years ago fondly. AD
